Role Overview:
As Motion Designer, you will produce tutorials, reels, and videos that explain how to use the John Deere platform, turning field-validated training content into scalable video formats that help onboard and support users beyond what in-person visits can achieve.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit tutorials and social media content (reels, short clips) about how to use the platform, based on already-defined scripts and briefs, including motion graphics, dynamic captioning, transitions, and edited pacing.
Transform long-form recordings (webinars, trainings, onboarding sessions) into edited pieces for different uses: full version, short clips, highlights.
Edit footage recorded in the field, at events, or at agricultural industry conferences, turning it into video content within fast turnaround times.
Work together with the team to maintain consistency of visual identity and messaging across all formats.
Organize and maintain project files, assets, and reusable templates to streamline recurring production.
Keep video content up to date as the platform evolves, flagging outdated tutorials and proposing updates.
Collaborate with the Field Adoption team to identify recurring topics that would benefit from an explainer video.
Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in motion design and video editing for social media and/or educational content (portfolio/reel required).
Strong command of CapCut and at least one professional editor (Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects).
Strong sense of pacing and visual storytelling for short formats (reels, TikTok/Instagram-style tutorials).
Ability to work with gimbal-recorded footage (ideally with experience using Insta360 or similar equipment) and with field recordings.
Autonomy to execute based on already-defined scripts or briefs, without needing constant creative supervision.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume production schedule (monthly editorial calendar)
Advanced English proficiency (required)
Advanced Spanish proficiency (is a plus)
Nice-to-have
Basic graphic design skills (Figma, Canva, or similar) for occasional mockups or static assets.
General knowledge of agriculture or interest in agtech.
Experience creating tutorial or onboarding video content.
